Terms of Service

What Orbital is
Orbital is a lightweight Discord bot that catches you up on what you missed, answers your members in their own language, and keeps your server quiet. Installing it grants our Discord application the permissions listed on the consent screen and lets you configure the features through slash commands and the web dashboard.
Acceptable use
- You must hold Manage Server permission on a Discord guild to install Orbital on it.
- You must comply with Discord's own Terms of Service and Community Guidelines. Orbital is not a way to route around them.
- Do not use Orbital to target specific users with harassment, for illegal activity, to exfiltrate minors' data, or to distribute malware.
- Do not attempt to exhaust shared AI credits intentionally — our quota system will cut you off. Repeated abuse may result in your guild being banned from the hosted service.
AI output disclaimer
Orbital's AI features (/kb ask, /digest run,/verify, ticket triage) run on Google Gemini. The model can be wrong. Answers are grounded in the knowledge base entries you provide, but citations do not guarantee accuracy. Always verify before acting on an AI answer. Mods are responsible for the content mods publish.
Pricing + billing
The free tier is free forever. Paid tiers (Starter $3/mo, Pro $10/mo) are billed via Stripe. You can cancel at any time by managing the subscription in Stripe. We do not process refunds for partial months.
A one-time Lifetime tier ($49 once, Starter-equivalent quotas) is on the planned launch lineup; it isn't yet sold. We'll update this page in the same release that opens the Lifetime SKU.
Service availability
Orbital is offered as-is, with no uptime SLA on the free tier. Paid tiers get best-effort support via email. Discord outages, Google Vertex outages, or Stripe outages may interrupt service; we don't credit for outages outside our control.
Termination
You can remove Orbital from your guild at any time. We can remove Orbital from your guild without notice if we detect abuse of the shared AI credit pool, terms-of-service violations, or illegal activity. In either case the data-deletion process in our privacy notice applies.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, Orbital's liability for any claim arising from use of the service is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes are announced by email to the address on file with Discord for the server owner where we have one, and by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Reviewing this page after a change continues to be your responsibility.
